About Us
Piatt Lake is about 1.4 miles long and has over four miles of shoreline and is surrounded by 3,300 acres of hardwood forest and features miles of hiking and ATV trails.
Piatt Lake was selected as the location of the Blessed Hope Bible Conference Association, founded in 1945 as a non-profit corporation whose purpose was to build, develop, provide and maintain facilities for Bible conferences, Bible schools and other Christian ministry endeavours. The goals also included developing the property surrounding the lake by offering leases for the 169 lakefront lots. In 1950 the association changed its name to Piatt Lake Bible Conference Association.
In 1963 PLBCA leased 14 lots on Piatt Lake to the Billy Walker Evangelist Association for the purpose of operating Bible conferences and youth camps. These camps and conferences continued through 2022.
The Piatt Lake Bible Conference Association and its members are committed to Jesus Christ and to spreading His Gospel. PLBCA’ s purpose is to provide a location where its members can fulfill that commitment, and with their families and guests can be encouraged and renewed in their Christian faith through summer Bible Conference programs, recreation, worship and fellowship.
Many of the 169 lots around the lake that are occupied by 2nd and 3rd generation lease holders. The Piatt Lake community of lease holders share a common belief in Biblical Christianity that enjoys the unique environment that promotes family relaxation and recreation. Summers are perfect for: canoeing, kayaking, fishing, hiking, ATV riding, and water sports.
From the soft green woods in the Spring, the lushness of the Summer, the rare coloring of Autumn’s artistry and the wonder of Winter’s frozen beauty, Piatt Lake is a backdrop for all the seasons
